Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical patients
• Monitor telemetry and interpret EKGs to detect changes in patient status
• Administer IV therapy and manage central line dressings
• Perform wound care, chest tube management, and drain care
• Insert and care for Foley catheters
• Document patient progress in Meditech Expanse and collaborate with the care team

Qualifications

• Active RN license (NH or compact) at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of medical-surgical experience in a hospital setting
• BLS certification required
• IV certification required
• Experience with Meditech Expanse preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of med-surg nursing practices and patient safety
• Skilled in telemetry monitoring and EKG interpretation
• Comfortable with wound care, drain management, and central line care
• Strong IV insertion and therapy skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced 36-bed unit with a 1:6 ratio
