Radiologic Technologist - Diagnostic Radiology
Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Start Date: 08-03-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 11:00 AM - 11:30 PM, rotating weekends
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiologic imaging procedures following physician orders
- Operate portable radiography equipment at bedside and in surgical settings
- Assist with ED trauma imaging to support fast-paced emergency care
- Conduct fluoroscopic procedures as needed
- Ensure patient safety and comfort while producing high-quality images
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members for optimal patient outcomes
Qualifications
- ARRT (R) certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in diagnostic radiology
- Proficiency in portable radiography and OR imaging
- Experience with ED trauma imaging
- Fluoroscopy skills preferred but not required
- Self-motivated, able to work independently or as part of a team
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of diagnostic radiology equipment including GE and Shiatzu portable units
- Familiarity with Cerner RadNet EMR
- Understanding of radiation safety and patient care standards
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced Level II trauma center environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
