Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert emergency nursing care to patients of all ages presenting with acute illnesses, injuries, and complex medical conditions
• Triage patients quickly and effectively to prioritize care based on severity of condition
• Administer medications, start IVs, and perform life-saving interventions in high-pressure situations
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and their families on conditions, treatment options, and discharge instructions
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or a compact state
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Emergency Room (ER) nursing experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (PALS preferred)
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Advanced knowledge of emergency nursing protocols and procedures
• Proficiency in patient assessment, triage, and emergency interventions
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and documentation standards
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Ability to remain calm and focused in emergency situations
