Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, expert care to critically ill ICU patients in a fast-paced 24-bed unit
• Monitor and manage ventilators, Swans, Impella devices, balloon pumps, and other advanced equipment
• Perform and assist with procedures including intubation, central lines, bronchoscopy, EVDs, and ICP monitoring
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, and specialists to deliver optimal outcomes
• Document patient progress accurately in the EMR and communicate effectively with patients and families

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Texas or a compact state
• Minimum of 1 year of ICU experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Experience with invasive hemodynamic monitoring and critical care procedures preferred
• Excellent customer service and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical thinking and rapid assessment abilities
• Proficiency with ventilators, Swans, central lines, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Knowledge of EVDs, ICP monitoring, pacers, and bolts
• Experience with EMR documentation
• Team collaboration and calm under pressure
• Compassionate patient and family advocacy
