Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms, promptly reporting changes to the care team
• Administer medications and treatments with precision and safety
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to ensure optimal outcomes
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and self-care strategies
• Document accurately in the Meditech EMR system
• Maintain a calm, organized, and compassionate presence during high-pressure situations

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience; 3+ years strongly preferred
• Current BLS certification (required)
• NIHSS certification (required)
• Telemetry monitoring experience (required)
• Hospital experience (required)
• Epilepsy care experience (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong telemetry and cardiac rhythm interpretation skills
• Expertise in medical-surgical patient care and assessments
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR system
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced inpatient environment
• Compassionate patient education and family support abilities
