Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 10-hour shifts, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM, with night call and weekend rotation

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare operating rooms and ensure all equipment is ready for procedures
Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
Maintain sterile field and follow strict infection control protocols
Collaborate with nurses, anesthesiologists, and surgical team members
Handle surgical specimens and ensure proper documentation
Support room turnover between cases to keep schedule on track

Qualifications

Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
Surgical Tech experience in OR settings
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
Familiarity with Cerner Surginet EMR system
Understanding of Phillips telemetry and Draeger ventilation equipment
Ability to handle both general and cardiac OR cases
