Surgical Tech - CVOR

Location: Sacramento, California

Start Date: 07-07-2026

End Date: 10-06-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Five 8-hour shifts with varied hours (6:00 AM or 10:00 AM starts), overnight call once a week, 3 weekend days per month (1.5 weekends)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare operating rooms for complex cardiovascular procedures
Assist surgeons during CABG, valve replacements, and other heart surgeries
Maintain sterile technique and ensure patient safety throughout procedures
Collaborate with the surgical team in a fast-paced, high-volume CVOR environment
Float to other Sacramento facilities when needed to support patient care

Qualifications

Current BLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience
NIHSS and EKG interpretation skills preferred
First-time travelers welcome
Strong CVOR skills and confidence in the specialty

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in Cerner EMR documentation
Comfortable reading and interpreting EKG strips
Experience with CABG, valve procedures, and all heart surgeries
Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced operating room setting
