Location: Bismarck, North Dakota

End Date: 09-28-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM with weeknight call 3-4 times per week from 3:15 PM - 6:45 AM and every other to every third weekend call from Friday 3:15 PM to Monday 6:45 AM

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

First scrub on open heart procedures including CABG, valves, and aneurysms
Assist with thoracic and vascular cases such as thoracotomies, VATS, and AAA repairs
Cross-train into general OR specialties when CV volumes are low
Provide 1:1 patient sitting support on the floor during low case volume periods
Prepare for open heart cases starting at 6:00 AM when scheduled
Collaborate with the CV team lead to maintain efficient case flow

Qualifications

Current CST or NCCT certification required
BLS certification required
ND UAP registration required
Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience with open hearts, CABG, and valves
Proven ability to first scrub independently
Willingness to float to other OR specialties and provide 1:1 patient sitting

Knowledge & Skills

Strong CVOR expertise including ECMO and Impella 5.5 procedures
Experience with robotic ION cases and Stryker towers
Ability to respond to 15-minute call requirements
Flexibility to work rotating holidays and supplement hours as needed
Comfortable working in a family-oriented department atmosphere
