Speech Language Pathologist - Per Diem
Location: Portland, Oregon

Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Per Diem (PRN), 12.5-hour shifts, varied days and times
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $34 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and treat pediatric patients with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to help children reach their communication milestones
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and families to ensure comprehensive, family-centered care
- Document patient progress and adjust therapy plans to achieve the best outcomes
- Provide education and training to families and caregivers for continued support at home
- Maintain a safe, engaging environment that empowers young patients
Qualifications
- Current Oregon Speech-Language Pathologist license in good standing
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred
- Experience with pediatric or adolescent populations is a plus
- BLS certification required or obtained upon hire
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of pediatric speech, language, and swallowing disorders
- Ability to develop rapport with children and their families
- Excellent documentation and time-management skills
- Team-oriented mindset and adaptability in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Compassion and creativity in therapy approaches
