Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $34 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assess and treat pediatric patients with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to help children reach their communication milestones
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and families to ensure comprehensive, family-centered care
  • Document patient progress and adjust therapy plans to achieve the best outcomes
  • Provide education and training to families and caregivers for continued support at home
  • Maintain a safe, engaging environment that empowers young patients

Qualifications

  • Current Oregon Speech-Language Pathologist license in good standing
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred
  • Experience with pediatric or adolescent populations is a plus
  • BLS certification required or obtained upon hire
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude

Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of pediatric speech, language, and swallowing disorders
  • Ability to develop rapport with children and their families
  • Excellent documentation and time-management skills
  • Team-oriented mindset and adaptability in a fast-paced hospital environment
  • Compassion and creativity in therapy approaches
