Shift Type: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM, days and nights available; every other weekend and holiday rotation; call shifts required (CVOR: 8-10 weekday night call shifts and 24-hour weekend call shifts per 4 weeks; Main OR: 3 call shifts per 4 weeks)

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe and effective circulating care for patients undergoing a wide range of surgical procedures, including ortho, neuro, plastics, vascular, trauma, robotic, urology, GYN, and complex cardiac/thoracic cases
• Prepare the operating room by ensuring all necessary equipment, supplies, and instruments are available and functioning
• Position and prep patients for surgery, prioritizing safety, comfort, and sterile technique
• Facilitate surgical cases by anticipating the needs of the surgical team and maintaining a calm, organized environment
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the Meditech system
• Collaborate with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and perioperative staff to promote optimal patient outcomes
• Participate in call rotations to ensure 24/7 coverage for emergent and scheduled procedures

Qualifications

• Current and unencumbered RN license
• Minimum 2 years of circulating RN experience
• BLS certification required
• CST certification required (as per facility policy)
• Cardiac surgical experience (CVOR) required
• Experience with robotic surgery (XI Robot, Mako) highly desirable
• Strong ability to position, prep, and facilitate complex cases

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in patient positioning and sterile prepping
• Skilled in surgical case facilitation across multiple specialties
• Proficient with Meditech documentation system
• Knowledge of AIDET communication framework
• Familiarity with XI Robotic and Mako joint robot
• Understanding of endovascular equipment and complex cardiac/vascular procedures
