Roles & Responsibilities

• Triage patients with varying acuity levels in a fast-paced emergency department
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care
• Monitor vital signs and recognize early signs of deterioration
• Provide compassionate education and support to patients and families
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes meticulously

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted RN license in Texas (or compact state)
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Room nursing experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (PALS preferred)
• Ability to thrive in high-stress, fast-paced environments
• Strong critical thinking and quick decision-making skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency nursing best practices
• Advanced cardiac life support and trauma care
• Patient assessment and triage
• Electronic health records (EHR) proficiency
• IV insertion and medication administration
• Communication and teamwork in emergency settings
