Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgery
• Monitor vital signs, airway, and consciousness levels to ensure safe recovery
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the care team
• Manage pain and nausea while prioritizing patient comfort and experience
• Educate patients and families on recovery expectations and discharge instructions
• Respond quickly to on-call needs and adapt to varying patient acuity

Qualifications

• Active RN license required (Kansas or compact accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital PACU RN experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Ability to respond to on-call within 30 minutes
• Flexibility with hours and a calm, positive attitude
• Prior Meditech EMR experience preferred

• Comfort caring for post-operative craniotomy and orthopedic patients
