Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to post-operative and acute medical-surgical patients
• Monitor telemetry and assess patient conditions, responding quickly to changes
• Administer medications and cardiac drips such as amiodarone, diltiazem, and heparin with precision
• Collaborate with the charge nurse, RNs, and acute care techs to maintain excellent patient outcomes
• Document accurately in Meditech EMR while juggling the fast pace of a high-energy unit
• Adapt to caring for overflow adult and pediatric patients, ensuring every patient feels safe and supported

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of current Med/Surg RN acute care experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Prior Meditech experience preferred
• A hard-working, fun, high-energy personality is a perfect fit

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong acute care nursing skills, including post-op surgical patient care
• Comfort managing cardiac drips like amio, dilt, and heparin
• Experience with remote telemetry monitoring
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Flexibility to care for both adult and pediatric overflow patients
