Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced 18-bed ED
• Triage patients efficiently and prioritize care based on acuity
• Collaborate with physicians and the care team to stabilize and treat acute conditions
• Administer medications, start IVs, and perform emergency procedures as needed
• Document accurately in the Expanse EMR and maintain meticulous patient records
• Float to other units as required to support hospital-wide patient care

Qualifications

• Active compact (NLC) RN license at time of submission - a must!
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience in a hospital setting
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC, and CPI certifications
• Comfortable floating to other units and adapting to variable staffing models
• Experience with GE monitoring equipment and Expanse documentation is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Expert clinical skills in emergency nursing, including triage and stabilization
• Knowledge of cardiac monitoring, emergency medications, and resuscitation protocols
• Strong critical thinking and the ability to stay calm under pressure
• Excellent communication and teamwork to coordinate with a multi-disciplinary team
• Adaptability to variable staffing models and floating assignments
• Proficiency with electronic health records (Expanse preferred)
