Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
• Triage patients and prioritize care based on acuity and clinical need
• Administer medications, start IVs, and perform emergency procedures with confidence
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans
• Accurately document assessments and interventions in Meditech EMR
• Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and follow-up care
• Stay calm and focused during high-pressure situations while advocating for patient safety

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital experience required
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIH CPI Blue card required
• ED nursing experience strongly preferred
• Independent, self-motivated, and caring with excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of emergency department nursing and acute care
• Proficient with Meditech EMR
• Skilled in central line insertion, chest tube management, thoracic lavage, and intubation assistance
• Excellent communication skills with staff and providers
• Ability to make quick, evidence-based decisions under pressure
• Patient care experience is a top priority
