Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM, every other weekend
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population in a Level II Trauma Center
- Collaborate with a dynamic multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced, high-volume ED
- Triage, stabilize, and treat patients with acute conditions, from trauma to stroke
- Document care accurately in Cerner and keep patients informed throughout their visit
- Mentor and coach team members in real time to ensure the best outcomes
- Champion the patient experience using AIDET principles and respectful behavior
Qualifications
- Active RN license in North Carolina or a compact state (NLC)
- 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Room setting
- Experience in a Level 2 Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center, and high-volume (100k+ visits) ED
- ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required before start
- ENPC certification within 90 days of hire
- Previous HCA experience preferred but not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in Cerner EMR and documentation systems
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to thrive in a collaborative environment
- Ability to coach and give constructive feedback in real time
- Flexibility to float to all sections within the ED
- Knowledge of AIDET patient experience standards and commitment to excellent service
- Skilled in caring for patients in a busy, multicultural community
