Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population in a Level II Trauma Center
• Collaborate with a dynamic multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced, high-volume ED
• Triage, stabilize, and treat patients with acute conditions, from trauma to stroke
• Document care accurately in Cerner and keep patients informed throughout their visit
• Mentor and coach team members in real time to ensure the best outcomes
• Champion the patient experience using AIDET principles and respectful behavior

Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or a compact state (NLC)
• 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Room setting
• Experience in a Level 2 Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center, and high-volume (100k+ visits) ED
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required before start
• ENPC certification within 90 days of hire
• Previous HCA experience preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in Cerner EMR and documentation systems
• Strong teamwork and communication skills to thrive in a collaborative environment
• Ability to coach and give constructive feedback in real time
• Flexibility to float to all sections within the ED
• Knowledge of AIDET patient experience standards and commitment to excellent service
• Skilled in caring for patients in a busy, multicultural community
