Rapid Response Registered Nurse
Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Start Date: 08-03-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Night shift, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, rotating weekends
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Respond rapidly to hospital-wide emergency calls and provide life-saving interventions
- Deliver expert critical care assessments and stabilize patients during cardiac arrest, trauma, stroke, and STEMI events
- Collaborate seamlessly with core staff to support patient care across all units
- Utilize advanced skills in ACLS and NIHSS to guide resuscitation and post-resuscitation care
- Act as a resource and mentor for staff during critical situations
- Document and communicate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of ICU experience (required)
- Current RN license in good standing (North Carolina or compact state)
- Current ACLS and NIHSS certifications required
- Experience in rapid response, medical ICU, or ED preferred
- Compassionate, collaborative, and able to work well under pressure
Knowledge & Skills
- Advanced knowledge of critical care protocols and procedures
- Skilled in rapid patient assessment and decision-making
- Proficient in Cerner EMR
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to float throughout the facility as needed
