Sonographer - Ultrasound Tech

Location: Durango, Colorado

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Variable days, 4x10-hour shifts, start times between 7:00 AM and 7:30 AM, end times between 5:30 PM and 6:00 PM; includes call 1-2 nights per week and every 3rd weekend.

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams including general, OB/GYN, and vascular studies
Assist with procedures such as drainages and biopsies
Provide compassionate patient care and ensure accurate imaging
Maintain equipment and follow safety protocols
Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members

Qualifications

Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) in General or OB/GYN
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Experience with ultrasound procedures is required
RVT or RDCS certification preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in general, OB/GYN, and vascular ultrasound
Experience with EPIC and PACS systems
Familiarity with Phillips ultrasound equipment
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
