Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage telemetry for cardiac stepdown patients making a real difference in their recovery
• Care for post-CV and vascular surgery patients including chest tube and epidural management
• Administer cardiac drips and insulin gtts with precision to stabilize vital patients
• Collaborate with a dynamic team of 13 RNs per shift to deliver exceptional care
• Handle overflow cardiology cases like heart failure and sepsis with confidence and compassion
• Perform tube feedings and utilize advanced equipment like Baxter pumps and Cerner EMR

Qualifications

• Active RN license with 2+ years experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Stepdown and telemetry experience are must-haves
• Ready to float to other SD, MS units or ER holding as needed

Education

• RN licensure required

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in CV surgery, vascular surgery, and thoracic procedures like TAVR and CABG
• Proficient in managing chest tubes, epidurals, and cardiac drips including amiodarone and heparin
• Comfortable in fast-paced environments as a flexible team player
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR and equipment like CADD pumps and lifts
