Registered Nurse - L&D

Location: Fort Morgan, Colorado

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 01-04-2027

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shifts, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, 36 hours/week, half of all weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday), half of winter holidays, some self-scheduling but may be adjusted for unit needs

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $75 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate care to pregnant women, newborns, and postpartum patients in a close-knit rural setting
Triage patients efficiently and serve as the essential baby catcher and transition nurse during deliveries
Titrate drips like Pitocin with confidence to support smooth labors
Collaborate closely with your small team, including taking on charge nurse duties when needed
Follow AWHONN guidelines to maintain high standards in a dynamic L&D environment

Qualifications

Active RN license
1 year of L&D experience
Training in LDRP
Required certifications: ALS, NRP, AWHONN EFM

Education

RN degree from an accredited nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in triage and functioning as baby catcher/transition nurse
Proficiency titrating Pitocin and other drips
Familiarity with OBIX EFM system
Strong skills in newborn care including Bubble CPAP, CPAP, NC
