Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, including every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide specialized nursing care to oncology and PCU patients, including trauma and medical-surgical cases
Administer chemotherapy and manage complex drips like heparin, cardizem, and protonix
Monitor hemodynamic status using ventilators, CVP, and arterial lines
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Ensure patient safety through hourly rounding and adherence to evidence-based protocols

Qualifications

At least 1 year of recent PCU and/or oncology nursing experience
First-time travelers are welcome to apply!
Must be willing to pass an open-book exam during orientation (90% required)
Commitment to teamwork and a positive attitude

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
Experience with EPIC electronic medical records
Competency in administering chemotherapy and managing oncology patients
Familiarity with Alaris IV pumps and lift equipment
Strong communication and cultural sensitivity skills
