Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care for telemetry and medical-surgical patients
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, responding promptly to changes in patient status
• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies safely and accurately
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and maintain accurate documentation
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and safety

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license in the state of practice (must be current)
• Telemetry and Medical-Surgical experience preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and prioritize patient needs

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Completion of accredited nursing program and state licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in cardiac telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Solid knowledge of medical-surgical nursing principles and best practices
• Skilled in medication administration, IV management, and documentation
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting
• Ability to recognize and escalate patient deterioration quickly
