Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, family-centered care to pediatric patients on the med/surg unit
• Assess, plan, and implement nursing interventions tailored to each child's needs
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to create and update care plans
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions
• Document patient care thoroughly and maintain accurate medical records

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or a compact state – required
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) – required
• Pediatric experience – strongly preferred
• PALS certification – nice to have
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and team members
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
• Empathy and a patient-centered approach
• Reliable and adaptable, ready to step in when needed
