Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during procedures, ensuring patients feel at ease
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments for a safe and hygienic environment
• Take and develop X-rays, and capture patient records for treatment planning
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care to promote healthy smiles
• Manage patient flow and update dental charts using practice management software
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver exceptional orthodontic care

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification required
• Maryland dental radiography certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of dental assistant experience, orthodontic experience a plus
• Strong communication and patient-care skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic instruments and procedures
• Familiarity with dental software (Denticon preferred)
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Compassionate patient interaction skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
