Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist pediatric dentists during a variety of procedures, ensuring each little patient feels safe and comfortable
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments for a smooth clinical workflow
• Take and develop dental x-rays with precision and care
• Educate young patients and their families on proper oral hygiene in a friendly, approachable way
• Maintain accurate patient records and help with appointment coordination
• Provide chairside support and anticipate the dentist's needs to keep every visit efficient

Qualifications

• Current Dental Assistant certification or diploma (preferred)
• Valid CPR/BLS certification
• Experience working with children or in a pediatric dental setting is a big plus
• Strong communication skills and a warm, patient-friendly demeanor
• Radiography (x-ray) certification desired

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization protocols
• Understanding of pediatric dental procedures and behavior management
• Skilled in taking dental x-rays and digital radiography
• Comfortable with dental software for scheduling and charting
• Excellent interpersonal skills to connect with kids and parents alike
