Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all instruments are sterilized and organized
• Assist the dentist during pediatric procedures, ensuring a calm and positive experience for young patients
• Take and develop dental x-rays with a focus on safety and comfort
• Educate children and parents on proper oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Maintain accurate patient records and manage appointment scheduling

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or state-specific license as required
• Current CPR certification
• Experience working with children in a dental setting is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly, patient manner
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and sterilization techniques
• Proficiency in digital x-ray systems and dental software
• Understanding of pediatric dental care and child behavior management
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
