Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to a diverse med-surg patient population
• Float across multiple units to support staffing needs and ensure continuity of care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Monitor patient conditions and respond quickly to changes in status
• Document patient progress and communicate effectively during handoffs

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Rhode Island or a compact state
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association)
• Previous Med Surg or acute care experience preferred
• Ability to float between units and adapt quickly to new environments
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of med-surg nursing principles and best practices
• Comfortable using electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patients with varying acuity
• Knowledge of infection control and patient safety protocols
