Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist oral surgeons during procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments, following strict infection control protocols
• Provide compassionate care and reassurance to patients before, during, and after surgery
• Take and process dental radiographs to support accurate diagnosis and treatment
• Document patient information, update charts, and manage surgical supplies
• Monitor patients during recovery and deliver clear post-operative instructions

Qualifications

• Active Dental Assistant certification or licensure as required in Maryland
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Radiography (X-ray) certification
• Experience in oral surgery or general dentistry preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and sterilization techniques
• Skilled in chairside assisting and surgical setup
• Proficient with dental software and patient record documentation
• Strong patient care and customer service skills
• Ability to anticipate surgeon needs and respond quickly
