Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care in a labor and delivery setting
- Assess and monitor patients' conditions, develop and implement care plans
- Administer medications and perform medical procedures as needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
- Participate in unit-specific training and education
Qualifications
- RN licensure required
- 2 years of labor and delivery experience
- BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications required
- AWHONN Intermediate FM or C-EFM certification preferred
- Experience with IV insertion, lab draws, JADA and BAKRI knowledge, blood administration, and nitrous administration
Education
- RN degree from an accredited program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical skills in labor and delivery nursing
- Knowledge of common OB medications and complications
- Experience with electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) and other medical equipment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
