Roles & Responsibilities

• Triage and assess patients presenting to the Emergency Department with speed and compassion
• Provide direct patient care including medication administration, wound care, and cardiac monitoring
• Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to create effective care plans
• Respond quickly to emergencies and stabilize critically ill or injured patients
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately
• Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and follow-up care
• Maintain a safe and clean environment following infection control standards

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Louisiana or a compact state
• Current BLS certification (AHA required)
• ACLS and PALS certification preferred
• Prior experience in an Emergency Department or acute care setting
• Ability to work flexible per diem shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of emergency nursing principles and protocols
• Skilled in patient triage, assessment, and emergency interventions
• Proficient with electronic health record (EHR) documentation
• Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure
• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Understanding of infection control and safety standards
