Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
• Assess, triage, and prioritize patients based on acuity in a fast-paced ED setting
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to deliver optimal patient outcomes
• Administer medications, start IVs, and perform emergency interventions as needed
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely
• Communicate effectively with patients and families, providing education and emotional support
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment in the emergency department

Qualifications

• Current and active RN license in Louisiana (or compact state eligibility)
• Emergency Department experience is strongly preferred
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred
• Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
• Strong critical thinking and triage skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of emergency nursing principles, protocols, and best practices
• Proficiency in patient assessment, medication administration, and emergency procedures
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Strong documentation skills with EHR systems
• Compassionate bedside manner and patient advocacy
