Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate respiratory care to patients across the acute care continuum
• Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
• Administer respiratory therapies including oxygen, nebulizer treatments, and airway clearance
• Manage and monitor mechanical ventilation for critically ill patients
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to improve patient outcomes
• Document patient progress and adjust care based on clinical response
• Educate patients and families on respiratory health and home care techniques

Qualifications

• Active Georgia Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
• BCLS (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred
• Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program
• Minimum of 1 year of recent respiratory therapy experience preferred
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Ventilator management and airway care
• Patient assessment and diagnostic testing (ABGs, spirometry)
• Understanding of respiratory pharmacology
• Excellent documentation and EHR skills
• Effective patient education and communication
• Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations
