Respiratory Therapist - Per Diem

Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Flexible 12.5-hour per diem shifts, no guaranteed schedule
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $54 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional respiratory care to pediatric patients
- Assess and monitor patient respiratory status
- Administer respiratory treatments and therapies
- Manage ventilators and airway support devices
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to optimize patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families on respiratory care plans
- Respond promptly to respiratory emergencies
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly
Qualifications
- Active Oregon Respiratory Care Practitioner license
- CRT or RRT credential from the NBRC
- Current BLS certification (ACLS/PALS preferred)
- Pediatric respiratory care experience preferred
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Adaptability to work flexible per diem shifts
Knowledge & Skills
- In-depth knowledge of respiratory therapy equipment and techniques
- Comfort with pediatric and neonatal patient populations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong documentation and EHR skills
- Excellent bedside manner and patient education skills
