Roles & Responsibilities

• Titrate cardiac drips including Amiodarone, Cardene, Nitro, Heparin, and Dobutamine with precision
• Interpret EKGs and monitor telemetry patients across multiple units
• Float between Telemetry, MedSurg, ICU, and holding areas at Chandler and Mercy Gilbert campuses
• Provide care for post-cath lab, post-vascular procedures, day 2 CABG, neuro surgical patients, and general medical-surgical cases
• Collaborate with charge nurses and clinical supervisors to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Pass a dysrhythmia exam and Sim Lab orientation to demonstrate competency

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona or compact state
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS for neuro units
• Minimum 1-2 years of recent telemetry and med-surg experience
• Ability to titrate cardiac drips and interpret EKGs independently
• Flexibility to float between units and campuses as needed
• Willingness to pass a dysrhythmia exam and Sim Lab on assignment start

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in cardiac drip titration and EKG interpretation
• Strong telemetry monitoring and arrhythmia recognition skills
• Ability to manage diverse patient populations: cardiac, neuro, surgical, oncology
• Flexible and adaptable in fast-paced, high-acuity environments
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Proficiency with GE monitors and Spectralink phones
