Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate cardiac monitoring and telemetry care across multiple units
Titrate cardiac drips safely while closely observing patient responses
Interpret EKGs and respond quickly to rhythm changes
Float between Telemetry, MedSurg, Neuro, and observation areas as census needs arise
Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and PCTs to deliver seamless patient care
Educate patients and families about post-procedure recovery and cardiac health

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
NIHSS certification preferred
Strong cardiac drip titration and EKG interpretation skills
Minimum one year of recent telemetry or MedSurg experience

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry and cardiac monitoring expertise
Safe titration of Amiodarone, Cardene, Nitro, Heparin, and Dobutamine
EKG interpretation and dysrhythmia recognition
Ability to float between similar or lower acuity units
Strong communication and teamwork across multiple campuses
