Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver safe, compassionate patient care using the nursing process: assess, plan, implement and evaluate
Provide direct bedside care within scope of practice in the Telemetry Unit
Monitor cardiac rhythms and promptly communicate clinical changes to physicians
Coordinate and guide patient and family teaching to support recovery and self-care
Supervise and collaborate with other nursing personnel to maintain standards of care
Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition and treatment responses
Document patient assessments, interventions and outcomes clearly and timely

Qualifications

Current and valid state RN license (required) — Nursys verification listed
BLS certification (required)
ACLS certification (required)
Ventilator management experience preferred
COVID vaccination/boosters preferred and other immunizations as listed in credentials (MMR, Hep B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap, TB testing)
Must be available to work weekends

Knowledge & Skills

Strong patient care and telemetry monitoring skills
Comfortable with cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation
Solid understanding of the nursing process and clinical documentation
Ability to teach patients and families in a clear, compassionate way
Good communication and teamwork in multidisciplinary settings
Infection control practices and adherence to required health screenings
