Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to adult patients on a busy 40-bed PCU unit
Monitor and titrate cardiac drips including Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin
Interpret telemetry strips and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support patients with cardiac, vascular, respiratory, and post-procedure needs
Float to MedSurg or ICU as needed while maintaining excellent patient experience scores
Support patients and families from diverse cultural backgrounds with clear communication and empathy

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Competency managing arterial lines
Minimum one year of recent PCU or telemetry experience preferred
Ability to pass an open-book skills exam with 90% or higher during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Strong cardiac monitoring and drip titration skills
Comfortable reading and interpreting telemetry strips independently
Experience with high-flow oxygen and basic respiratory equipment
Excellent communication and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and accept feedback
