Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to stepdown patients transitioning from critical care to general units
• Monitor telemetry and assess patient conditions, responding quickly to changes
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered, ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and post-discharge care
• Document patient progress accurately and maintain compliance with all regulatory standards

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with Nursys verification
• Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and DCI/BVP certifications
• Experience in stepdown, progressive care, or telemetry nursing
• Successful completion of Prime pharmacology, rhythm interpretation, and core competency exams
• Ability to pass a 10-panel drug screening and physical health statement

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm recognition
• Knowledge of stepdown patient care protocols
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
