Contract Type: Contract
Shift Type: Block scheduling with every other weekend and 1 summer plus 1 winter holiday required, standby call required
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $65 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Attend deliveries as the dedicated baby nurse providing expert newborn care
- Monitor and care for Level 2 NICU babies including phototherapy, respiratory support, and growth needs
- Flex between SCN and postpartum assignments to support moms and babies as a team
- Start and maintain IVs while assisting with umbilical line placement when needed
- Transfer infants requiring higher-level care with confidence and compassion
- Administer and titrate drips such as D5W and TPN to support fragile newborns
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Washington
- NRP and BLS certifications required
- Skilled in attending deliveries as the baby nurse
- Experience with Bubble CPAP, Hi-Flow, and IV start/maintenance preferred
- Comfortable floating between SCN and postpartum couplet care
Knowledge & Skills
- Level 2 NICU and postpartum experience
- Proficiency with respiratory support equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, and Hi-Flow
- Ability to recognize and respond to newborn complications such as hypoglycemia and sepsis
- Strong assessment skills for monitoring withdrawal and phototherapy patients
