Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-acuity nursing care to stepdown patients requiring BiPAP and ventilator support
• Monitor patient vitals and respond quickly to changes in respiratory status
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
• Document patient assessments and interventions accurately in EPIC
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on care plans and respiratory therapies

Qualifications

• Active RN license in California (or compact where applicable)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Experience with BiPAP and ventilator management in a stepdown or critical care setting
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record
• Ability to hit the ground running with minimal onboarding

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of stepdown nursing principles and respiratory monitoring
• Skilled in BiPAP setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting
• Comfortable working with ventilator-dependent patients
• EPIC documentation expertise
• Critical thinking and rapid response in high-acuity situations
