Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients across multiple units, including cardiac, neuro, oncology, rehab, renal, and more.
• Monitor telemetry and manage heparin titration, ensuring patient safety and positive outcomes.
• Float across a 60-mile zone, seamlessly adapting to different facilities and unit cultures.
• Collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care.
• Assess, plan, and implement care for medical-surgical and telemetry patients with diverse diagnoses.
• Mentor and support staff while maintaining flexibility in a fast-paced, dynamic healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Active RN license - must be licensed to submit (compact license accepted as applicable)
• 2+ years of Medical-Surgical/Telemetry (MS-Tele) nursing experience
• Current BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS certifications
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system
• Ability to float within Zone 1 facilities and adapt to varied acuity levels
• Prior neuro experience preferred
• Reside or obtain housing within 60 miles of each assigned facility to meet floating requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Heparin titration and IV therapy
• Acute care nursing for adult and geriatric populations
• Experience with multiple specialties: cardiac, neuro, oncology, ortho, renal, and more
• Quick adaptability to new environments and electronic health records
• Understanding of nurse-to-patient ratios and acuity-based care
