Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert stepdown and PCU/IMC nursing care to a diverse adult and geriatric patient population
• Titrate and manage cardiac drips, insulin, ativan, and heparin confidently and safely
• Float across multiple Zone 1 facilities, adapting quickly to different unit specialties and patient acuities
• Collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, compassionate care
• Stay flexible and responsive in a fast-paced float pool environment, covering units from ICU low-acuity holds to med-surg telemetry

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of PCU/IMC experience required
• Active RN license in state of practice or compact license
• Current BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS certifications required
• Must have experience with cardiac drips, insulin, and ativan
• Comfortable titrating and managing heparin and other titratable drips
• Prior neuro and Epic experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong working knowledge of stepdown, telemetry, and acute care nursing
• Proficient in managing common titratable drips such as dopamine, dobutamine, cardizem, and amiodarone
• Experience with Epic charting system
• Ability to float seamlessly across different units and facilities
• Excellent critical thinking, adaptability, and communication skills
