Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to geriatric residents in a rehab setting
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and toileting
• Help residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning for comfort and safety
• Monitor and report changes in residents' conditions to nursing staff
• Maintain a clean, safe, and dignified environment for residents
• Collaborate with the care team to support each resident's individualized care plan

Qualifications

• Active Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification in Maryland
• Current CPR certification (preferred)
• At least 6 months of experience in a skilled nursing or rehab setting (preferred)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A compassionate, patient, and reliable approach

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of geriatric care best practices
• Skills in safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Understanding of infection control protocols
• Ability to work effectively as part of a care team
• Excellent observation and reporting skills
