Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists with procedures such as braces adjustments and retainers
• Prepare patients for examinations and ensure comfort throughout their visit
• Take and develop dental x-rays as needed
• Sterilize and organize dental instruments and equipment
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and orthodontic care
• Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment plans
• Provide exceptional patient care and support to the dental team

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent state licensure
• Prior experience in orthodontics is highly preferred
• Current CPR certification
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Radiology (X-ray) certification as required by Maryland state

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
• Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Denticon)
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and prioritize patient needs
• Compassionate and patient-focused demeanor
