Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist with braces, aligners, and other corrective procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments to maintain a safe environment
• Take and develop dental X-rays to support accurate diagnoses
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment notes
• Ensure a comfortable, positive experience for every patient

Qualifications

• Orthodontic certification (required)
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• State dental radiography license or ability to obtain one
• Previous experience as a dental assistant, especially in orthodontics
• Strong communication skills and a caring chairside manner

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of orthodontic terminology and procedures
• Comfort using dental practice management software (Denticon a plus)
• Excellent attention to detail and infection control practices
• Ability to multitask and keep the office running smoothly
• Patient-focused approach with a willingness to help
