Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding dental hygiene care, including prophylactic cleanings and preventive treatments
• Manage efficient 30-minute appointment slots to keep the day running smoothly
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and home-care best practices
• Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, ensuring all instruments are sterilized and ready
• Partner closely with the dentist and dental assistant to provide a seamless patient experience
• Accurately document patient care and oral health observations

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in New Jersey
• Dental Hygiene degree from an accredited program
• Sound patient communication and chairside manner
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, back-to-back appointment setting
• Current CPR certification

Education

• Associate degree in Dental Hygiene or completion of an accredited dental hygiene program

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in dental prophylaxis and polishing techniques
• Working knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization protocols
• Strong interpersonal skills for patient education and comfort
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities
• A collaborative mindset, comfortable working with a dental assistant
