Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing a variety of surgical procedures
• Assist surgeons during operations, including complex DaVinci robot-assisted spine and neuro cases
• Prepare and maintain the sterile field, ensuring all instruments and equipment are ready
• Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to changes during surgery
• Document all nursing care accurately in the Epic EMR system
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Participate in call rotations to provide emergency coverage as needed

Qualifications

• Active RN license (BSN not required, ADN or BSN accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience
• Demonstrated experience with DaVinci robotic surgery, spine, and neuro procedures
• Ability to scrub cases is a plus
• Comfortable with Epic EMR charting

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile technique
• Expertise in general, orthopedic, GYN, spine, neuro, urology, eyes, and ENT cases
• Proficiency in using DaVinci surgical robot
• Ability to think quickly and act decisively in high-pressure situations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork
• Commitment to patient safety and quality care
