Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists with examinations, procedures, and appliance adjustments
• Prepare patients for treatment and ensure their comfort
• Take digital X-rays, impressions, and photographs
• Sterilize and organize dental instruments
• Provide patient education on braces and oral hygiene
• Maintain accurate patient records and charts
• Manage inventory of orthodontic supplies

Qualifications

• Certified Orthodontic Assistant (COA) or equivalent orthodontic certification
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Experience with dental practice management software (Denticon preferred)
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Prior experience as a dental assistant with orthodontic focus

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic procedures and terminology
• Skill in chairside assisting and patient care
• Proficiency with digital radiography and imaging
• Familiarity with sterilization and infection control protocols
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Excellent patient interaction skills
