Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding preventive dental hygiene care, including cleanings, scaling, and root planing
• Take and develop dental X-rays while ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Review patient medical histories and document care accurately in the dental record
• Educate patients on oral health best practices, hygiene routines, and post-treatment care
• Assist the dentist during procedures and maintain a sterile, organized treatment area
• Adhere to all dental regulations, infection control protocols, and office policies

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Pennsylvania
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Strong clinical dental hygiene skills and experience
• Excellent communication and patient interaction abilities
• Ability to work independently and as a reliable part of the team
• Familiarity with dental software and radiography equipment

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough understanding of dental hygiene procedures, instruments, and materials
• Proficiency in dental radiography and X-ray safety practices
• Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA standards for patient safety and privacy
• Strong interpersonal skills for building rapport with patients of all ages
• Time management and attention to detail in a fast-paced dental office
• Compassionate approach to easing patient anxiety and promoting trust
