Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists during procedures to ensure efficient and safe treatment
• Prepare patients and treatment rooms, maintaining a sterile and welcoming environment
• Take and process dental X-rays, aiding in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care to promote long-term health
• Manage patient records and assist with administrative tasks to keep the office running smoothly

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) with a valid license in Maryland
• Current X-ray certification to perform radiographs
• CPR/BLS certification for patient safety
• Previous orthodontic experience preferred, but new grads are encouraged to apply
• Excellent communication skills and a caring, patient-first attitude

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of dental instruments and sterilization protocols
• Comfort with dental practice management software
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy practice
• Strong attention to detail for accurate record keeping
• Compassionate approach to patient care and comfort
